Coaches :: Tim Peterson

The highlight of Tim's swimming career came in 2000, when he improved his best time by 11 seconds, qualifying for the Sydney Olympics. Finishing 27th overall, he likes to point out he left the starting blocks at the same time as the then-world-record-holder, Keiren Perkins (AUS).

After retiring from full-time swimming in 2001, he started coaching both age group and adult swimmers with the Canadian and Pacific Dolphins swim clubs. A proud alumnus of the UBC Thunderbird swim team, he graduated in 2002 with degree in mechanical engineering. Currently Tim is working with a company that makes wide-format printers.

Tim says, "I am fortunate to work with so many eager swimmers, kicking their day off with a challenging workout at lovely Kits Pool!" - picture coming soon!
